The Anchor Scholarship Foundation (ASF) provides scholarships to eligible family members (children and spouses) of active duty, retired, and honorably discharged Surface Navy personnel for the past 40 years.

The Armed Services YMCA, they recognize the challenges of military life, especially in an area with the largest concentration of military in the nation. They are devoted to nurturing the well-being of the Hampton Roads military community by providing support to all five branches of service with such programs as the Patriot's Pantry, Operation Little Learners, Operation Hero, and others.
